Welcome to Victory Hall Tatura
Victory Hall Tatura is the heart of community life for nearly a century. Affectionately known as “The Grand Old Lady of Tatura”, Victory Hall has hosted countless celebrations, performances and gatherings since 1926.
Today, together with the adjoining Mechanics Institute Hall, Victory Hall Tatura continues to offer versatile, affordable spaces for hire – perfect for weddings, concerts, meetings, exhibitions and community events of every kind.

About Victory Hall & Mechanics Institute
Victory Hall was built in 1925–26 as a memorial to honour the lives lost in World War I. Officially opened by Governor General Lord Stonehaven in 1926, it quickly became Tatura’s cultural hub – from dances and concerts to school presentations and community celebrations.
Next door, the Mechanics Institute Hall (built in 1882) holds the distinction of being Tatura’s first public building. It served as a library, school, church and community meeting space, laying the foundations for the strong community spirit the town is known for.
Together, these halls remain a proud part of Tatura’s history – preserved and loved thanks to local support and restoration efforts. Today, they continue their legacy as living, thriving community spaces.
